**OT*** The Yankees are a great team but they're not immune to slumps. Their pitching staff with the exception of Wells did not do well during the last road trip. Pettite is slumping and Irabu and Jeff Nelson are hurt so they don't have the flexibility they had just a few weeks ago. They should still will win over 110 games but may not break the record unless their pitching staff gets healthy. You also have to consider the fact that Anaheim and Texas, the teams the Yankees have been playing lately, are in a dog fight for the Western division championship and are not intimidated. We shall see how the Yanks do when they finish the season against your beloved Red Sox and Baltimore. Steve P.S. Who leads the American league in pitching and hitting? Steve
