The buying in the last 16 minutes of the day was pretty impressive, too -- well over a million shares in 16 minutes, most of it on large lots.


What is the word for "panic buying"<grin>?


<correction> After reviewing the T&S it appears that the transaction sizes were *not* particularly large. So I now reckon that it was daytraders who had gone short and were trying to close out their positions -- caused the appearance of panic buying.
