My experience with cryogenics was a long time ago and with chemical systems but it's amazing what has been done in the interim. The chip, just by itself, is placed in a compartment cooled with liquid nitrogen with connecting wires coming out to the motherboard? Here I thought, air cooled with liquid nitrogen, was blown over the whole motherboard.
