When I called investor relations a few weeks ago they said that it might be due to a pull back in the group. Stated no big problems and that earnings estimates had not been changed. She said she had talked to one of the analysts who covers the stock just before me and that they suggested the company release a statement to this effect. They never did. I have seen Rotech stock (a company the acquired) behave in the same manor based on industry news and not company specific problems. Hopefully, this is what is going on here. We either have one of the best value plays around or have been badly mislead. If I hear any specific news, I will let you know. I know the decline started when Beverly announced medicare reimbursement problems, and ihs has been hit hard since then. Maybe Barrons came out with one of their articles like the ones they regularly wrote about Rotech. According to Barrons, Rotech would have gone under at any moment and earnings would disappear. It never happened. If they wrote a bad article about Ihs it could account for part of the drop. In addition, ihs bought out a lot of companies for stock. Based on what I have seen on insider selling a lot of these investors may have sold when the stock dropped. Once selling starts, it can sometimes feed on itself. I hope it is one of these issues as opposed to a real financial problem.
Good luck,
Robert D.
