Worth noting: in CF's case new customer volume first results in a reduction in average transactions per account (as new customers try one or two to "make sure it works") with a concurrent increase in the demands placed on customer service (did I do this right"; did you get the payment I scheduled?; etc. About three months thereafter, volume begins to grow and customer service demand drops off sharply.

That's where I have to disagree...if they are receptive to the service the customer will increase e-payments over time, not decrease them.

So even as Customer numbers swell, their should be a trickle down factor...number of transactions per customer on the rise also as they become more comfortable with the service...not less. The only thing which would skew that would be large %age number of new customers per Quarter...which currently is not a problem, nor will it be for a few Quarters. So then using that reason....transactional volume should increase during this 'ramp up' by banks even though customers are not coming in in droves....still transactional volume should show a greater percentage increase as users become more mature... Give me both the numbers I say...I'll sort it out based on paradigm logistics for myself...IMO.

Point is simple...and I agree with your thesis..but if new customers are forecast to drop %age wise then, transactions per customer should be increasing at the same time...right? THEN SHOW ME THE MONEY, there is a double ramp here...

Anybody else see my point...or am I alone here?
