A conspiracy theory: what with Wilf barking at the short sellers at the last call, and all, how plausible is it that they're now taking him (and us LSI shareholders) to the woodshed?

What I mean by this, is, is there a coordinated short effort to "spank" LSI? Sure it should be down, but d*mn we almost fell below $14 today, and probably will tomorrow. That's ridiculous! Even if LSI does only earn 70-80 cents this year and a buck something next.

Whatever your view, don't tell me that this sort of thing doesn't happen, and often to. Many agree that C-CUBE (CUBE on NASDAQ) has suffered massively from such a coordinated short selling attack in the past.

Note that I'm not definitively saying that this is the case, but I'm left scratching my head, and this is one possible explanation for why it's SO bad.
