pezz,

I think lying is an interesting subject for this thread. How about some questions for discussion:

1) Do you think there are differences in degrees of lying by subject matter? Say "I never inhaled" compared to "I never accepted campaign money from the Chinese governmet". ASSUMING they are both lies, is there a difference?

2) Is there a difference in lying when you are forceful and adamant such as "NOW I WANT YOU TO LISTEN TO THIS, I DID NOT HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH THAT WOMEN..." versus "I was never drafted".

3) Is there a difference between lying under oath and just lying to the public?

4) Do you think Bush lied when he said "No new taxes?". I don't. It may be semantical but I think its an important language issue.
