<CVG snippet> (Snagged from another newsgroup:) netular2 Aug 20 1998 6:37PM EDT Cincinnati Bell Incorporated (CSN) had a subsidiary called CBIS that they just spun off 10% of last week under the name Convergys (CVG). The 90% remainder of the company will be separated from CSN within 6 months. Yes CVG is a great company with a great future I believe. S&P put this IPO on their 5 star list on 8/13...the day it came out on the market, and reduced CSN from a 5 to a 3 star stock!!! (There are less than 100 stocks S&P gives 5 stars to.) Now, CVG which does telephone billing and is an aquirer of companies that fit its corporate strategy, owns 20% of WIZTF, (with the option to buy t'remaining 80% within 2 yrs from parent of WIZTF) an Israeli company. The fit with the company is that CVG has been expanding beyond telephone (hence the spin off) into cable , etc. WIZTF is a perfect fit and needs the equity infusion to do the big deals that CVG can do as the biggest player in the billing market ($2 Billion Revenues by 2000). This is the reason they are doing the Direct TV billing for SBC. CVG will do the customer service end of it....actualy they already do through their Matrixx Marketing subsidiary which just bought ATT's customer service unit this year. If you haven't had a light bulb go off yet... buy CVG and get a bigger, fast growing co. w/the backing of Wall St., along with WIZTF who is just going along (w/CVG) for the ride. <snippet> ********************* My feelings about this CVG stock? Wanting to regularly add more, folks... CVG=one of those you'll kick yourself later when the market is tanking and you wish you had a gooder to tide you over stocks.
