Good points......
DELL is a good company with good management, no question.....
but one thing that no one ever talks about is that DELL owns NO technology.......that is to say, they have a business model that works VERY VERY WELL, however, nothing they do is proprietary....
at least with CPQ and DEC we have alpha and the possibility of a 64 bit NT platform, oh and don't forget the service arm (not a technology though).
CPQ once was the princess of the ball a few years ago, today...that is DELL tomorrow, next year.......who knows.
I wished I would have bought DELL, but I didnt, I still may purchase some, but $ for $ CPQ is a safer play at the moment.
