Re: "Well maybe for now, but I read an article that said Intel will be able to manufacture Celeron at a lower cost in the future. Don't ask me about the details because I don't recall them. Intel will be the low cost producer because they have the huge volume, better yields that much I know. In addition they have a better process (Yousef said so.)"

!!!!!!

You really should try to do some independent thinking. Do you KNOW that Intel has better yields? No. We do know that Intel has a much larger die size (almost 2x the size of AMD's!), and unless the PII core is completely redesigned (which isn't going to happen) this won't change. So are Intel's yields DOUBLE AMD's? I doubt it.

The K6-2 performs about the same as a Celeron A. The K6-2 will blow it away (with TWICE the on chip L2 cache that the Celeron A has).

K6-2 350 MHz is HERE. IBM is introducing product on Thursday--this isn't vaporware. AMD's process (adjusting for core design factors, the thermal advantages of Slot 1, and the fact that Intel can introduce high end chips sooner because it produces more chips) is VERY close to Intel's.

In addition, I have to go and repent because the end is nigh (some homeless person said so).
