Have you seen/heard Sony & Philips WebTV advertisements on newspapers, all kinds of monthly magazines, radio and TV commercials lately? in the States, Canada, European Markets, Far East, Middle East and Japan?
That is what I called "Greater marketing power" than PC box makers industry. That has been why I keep on calling Cyrix to take license strategy on GX (a disposable technology) chip to these known & unknown great marketing power on earth to help Cyrix to sell GX chip (with a logo of "Cyrix") to every corners that people live.
It is a simple business strategy of giving more and gain much more. Why couldn't the Board of Directors in Cyrix understand that? Are we, small shareholders, being treated farely by them? If $25 license fee is not workable towards home appliance manufacturers, why not $15?, why not $11.50? Even at $10 apiece, Cyrix could earn tons of money with 100% margin profit from GX licensing and make good profits from M2 and M3 (specially when more people know Cyrix than Intel).
