Having certs in your brokerage (Street Name) means: 1) the TA does not have you as a registered owner, only the brokerage 2) the voting information has to be sent to brokerage, then distributed to you - a lengthy and somewhat not so reliable process 3) Your shares are available to brokerage to short / margin Best Investing
