Incentive with 54 % tax rate? Heh, just check out our underground economy. You'd be amazed as to how many people deal in barter and cash -- both of which are untraceable (Revenue Canada are you reading? :)). And maybe this is a sign of the times in Canada, but companies from the states are raking up any leaves (hi-tech personnel) they can find in the great white north. And I must say that in my dept., (including myself) people are seriously taking a look down south. Think about it. Work 10 years in the U.S. and retire back in Canada. Salary competitive wise -- it is getting bad here for a lot of Hi tech companies. Brain drain here I come ...
