How did the Presidency become so politicized? Even though I didn't vote for him, I supported Carter (and Bush, and......) because I trusted their motives. That's not the case with Clinton, but I still would support him if I didn't think he had already done many things that were detrimental to this country. You don't need the litany of what those actions were - you hear them every day. Has he actually done these dastardly things (I'm not referring to zippergate)? I may never know, but my trust in Clinton is so low that the other actions seem credible. That being the case, I would still count as a classic American, because I supported Clinton until I thought he had committed an act of treachery - specifically allowing the Chinese to get their hands on missile guidance technology and supercomputers.
