A press conference/demonstration, the first of its kind, will show the mPhase Traverser(TM) Digital Video and Data Delivery System running MPEG 2 digital video, Internet access, and traditional telephone service simultaneously over an existing telephone line at Hart Telephone Company located in Hartwell, Georgia.
The mPhase Technologies Inc. demonstration will transmit its live press conference via satellite to a Hart Telephone central office. The mPhase Traverser(TM) DVDDS will carry the press conference live using an unshielded pair of copper wire from central office to the customer premise. The conference will be hosted by the Georgia Center for Advanced Telecommunications Technology of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
mPhase announced last week that Hart Telephone Company, an independent local exchange carrier located in Hartwell, Georgia, is its first Technology Preview partner. The press conference will cover:
- The Traverser(TM) Digital Video and Data Delivery System
(DVDDS) technology,
- Details on the Technology Preview system
- Traverser(TM) DVDDS version 1.0 features
- Consumer programming

Members of the press are invited to attend the press conference and consumer site. Transportation from the press conference to the consumer site will be provided by mPhase. The press conference location is Georgia Public Broadcasting in Atlanta. The press conference will be available for viewing via satellite between 2:15 and 2:30 p.m.
