To all questioning why the Q is dropping (gen. mrkt considerations aside): Jim Jubak at Microsoft Investor dropped Qcom from his "Jubak's Picks" yesterday (8/25) noting ...snip!...Because Qualcomm (QCOM) is counting on doing a lot of business in Latin America, the recent spread of the Asian flu to the region raises the chance that the company will issue a warning or disappoint in earnings....snip!... I am not familiar with Jubak's detailed track record. His articles are frequently interesting, including the article on Qcom when he added it to his picks and the recent article on sats. Regardless, it seems that a significant amount of ind. investors follow Jubak on a regular basis. FWIW.
