Maybe they can get their service in Lima. MOTOROLA said its Cellular Infrastructure Group installed a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) cellular telephone system in Peru, making it the first CDMA commercial service in Latin America. Telefonica del Peru plans to initially offer cellular service to more than 10,000 customers in Lima. The CDMA technology will eventually enable the Latin American company to expand to 20,000 digital mobile telephone subscribers.
