To say that it is possible to come up with just one answer using scripture interpreting scripture, is somewhat difficult to prove, IMO.
There are many earnest, well meaning, scholars who have come up with different interpretations after lifetimes of study. It is also very difficult to prove/disprove anything that uses itself as a source. It tends to lead towards circular logic. i.e., Something is so, because I say it's so.
As far as science and archeology, there have been many finds and theories that lend doubt to the Bible also. I dont have urls to lead you to them, but I think this is well enough traveled ground that I can safely say that we have heard most of the arguments, both pro and con.
<<Based on these beliefs, I have a perfect foundation to approach life ... the Bible.>>
On this we can agree(at least mostly) If someone does nothing more than become a follower of the basic premises of the Bible, they will end up as having been a good, decent person, and most likely a productive citizen. If that is the least of what we accomplish, we will have lived good lives.
Where we will disagree is here. I think the same can be accomplished by following the tenets of most, if not any of the major religions.
