Here comes the IP age.

At 0.21/0.18um we begin to see what might be done with it. At 0.12um, we really get started. At -0.07um, we fly .....

From this point on, the guys with IP wins, and LSI is well positioned for it. They have a lot of the building blocks.

15 years ago when the MSI/LSI age started and systems started to get converted to chips, people wondered who'll win - the system guys getting into chips or the chip guys 'growing' their ware and taking out the system guys. It was the latter.

I don't see this changing in the next round. The guys with the most building blocks plus manufacturing win. LSI will be one of those. People like Hyndai/Goldstar will be playing catch-up games.
