Only traders I know that are making money are the short players and the put option players. Every once in a while an "earnings play" will go up, but if you don't hedge with puts, profit will evaporate. Beside one trader I know who had DELL today, there were few winners going long. Do not fall prey to 'boasters' and 'braggarts' about going long. I've gotten many e-mail from traders with BB stocks promising me 'incredible profits' and Technical analysts with 'buy' signals that fizzle. One trader 'boasted' he made 14k today going long..... Okay.. I made a teeny bit going long on CMVT and a teeny bit on NN and REXI, but nothing like the 'old days' My trades since the middle of the month have been puts... and they have been fine. The advance / decline is down 3 to 1, and I think if we bide our time we will have a recovery by Thursday/Friday.
