Off topic to Stitch: Wanted to get your opinion again on Malaysia. Malaysia index webs (EWM) trade on our American exchange for $2.31, down from $16 ayear ago and $6 in February. The holdings are widely diversified with only 11% in banking (mostly Malayan bank). Its also interesting that the Malaysia Fund trades at a 70% premium to NAV while the index can be bought at NAV.
Wondering how you see the currency risk from here as well as risk of the type of colllapse which would seem necessary to drive all these companies much lower (or to zero). Also wondering if you know anything about the total market caitalization, average P/E of the market or other useful statistics. Any info greatly appreciated. Regards, Z
