I have basically not been putting any new money in the market for the past 6 months. It still doesn't ease my pain too much, but I have some cash to put in when it turns. ( I wonder if Bill is feeling my pain.)

I don't really know if I agree with MEMC being a commodity as such. The big difference is that it is a man made item with a growing demand and a basically shrinking supply. Sure, its in over supply now, but will it be in the future? I can't see any company making any new plants now as there would be no immediate return. Current plants are up and running but I don't see any new capacity being added to them. I have to think that at some point, hopefully in the not too distant future, demand will outstrip supply. Than we would be in the pleasent position of playing catch up, in which wafer prices can move quite rapidly.

Of course, that would mean that basic electronic prices would also probably start to climb, so thats something to watch.

The main thing that concerns me currently is the general market. Russia collapsing, possible depresion in Asia, Europe being shaken by exposure to Russia, and the political situation in Washington are pretty much scaring me out of this market until after the elections.
