Even if everyone did skip down to .10 micron in 2001, that would still mean many, many profitable years for CYMI since the .10 process would be used for the critical layers, while .18(a guess) would be used for non-critical layers. CYMI's life will extend well into the 21st century when you consider the fact that before .06 or below technology will not be implemeted for the entire chip process for probably 10-20 years. CYMI's laser have been proven to work as small as .07mu(U of T test, March 98).

BTW, I am not an engineer but I do have enough common sense not to make blanket statements like that.
