Only 19.6% of stocks are up over the course of last five days on a buy-and-hold basis. Looking back 21 days or approximately one month to near when the downdraft started, the percentage of profitable stocks bought-and-held is a paltry 17.6%. And for 63 days or approximately one quarter, only 23.1%. I keep a statistical report of 3500 stocks over $ 5 and average volume over 40,000.
