You obviously lack understanding concerning acquisitions. Very few acquisitions are immediately accretive to earnings. Restructuring etc... costs a few bucks! As far as diminishing the chances of a takeover, this is irrelevant at this time due to the market jitters and various uncertainties. If anything, it would enhance a deal since this acquisition will add to earnings starting in 2000. A 22% hair cut is quite extreme. Heavy buying in the $18 range. From your previous posts, you are quite a negative conversationalist. BTW, ASND's problems are market related as well, with no change in fundamentals. If your long here, average now. sz
