I think the evidence found so far points very strongly to life in the universe being ubiquitous. The main prerequisite is water on the planet. There will be pockets of water found below the surface of mars, and there will be primitave life found there. It is probable that planets orbit most stars. There have been stars, similar to our sun, around for billions of years longer than our star, therefore I must conclude that beings vastly more evolved than us must exist. I don't think it is probable that any will land here in our lifetime, but I think we will confirm their existence with the Horowitz radio search.

I also would like to believe in a soul that lives on after our physical death, but lacking evidence, I do not believe it to be so.

What do you mean by worlds far away, but not on another planet?
