You are right about the many applications of the endoscope, and how often it is used for the diagnosis and detection of many different diseases. Using Xillix's technology for the early detection of lung cancer (bronchoscopy) is just the tip of the iceberg... the estimate for the market potential of the LIFE-GI system is estimated to be 4 times the size of the bronchoscopy market. Then there is the ENT system (ear, nose and throat), as well as the GYN system for cervical cancers. There are many applications for this technology for the localization of many different cancers.

There are around 5,000 institutions worldwide that already use white-light bronchoscopes, with 1,000 hospitals in the developed world that specialize in cancer. And with Olympus owning 70% of this market, Xillix should have a receptive market once the products have cleared the final stages of development. This will take time, but it IMO it will be worth the wait for those with patience.

Good luck!

Garry
