William, I've been trading VIP very successfully, last sold at 19 3/4 and don't hold anything right now because (obviously) I don't think anyone knows which direction things will move tomorrow. Just too much risk. I wouldn't buy any oil stocks for the next couple years even if you had a gun to my head. As extraction technology improves and supplies increase after the end of the Cold War (e.g., Russian oil from the Caspian Sea area), I see lots of pain for oil prices and producers. IMHO djane
