Hmmm, I think we need to talk about this a LOT more, it's still moving....

But let's address another issue. If CPQ gets 9% better cost on average, as I believe they do, then CPQ is still 2 points ahead of Dell even with their sorry inventory management. Dell's model has the disadvantage that it does not generate the lowest component costs - those vendors don't carry the parts for free, you pays me now or you pays me later... So I would still claim Drew's point is not solidly grounded.
