Christmas in September?

I just spent some time at ebworld.com and like what I see of our upcoming releases. Looks like we have three PC games, 4 PSX, 1 N64, and 2 Gameboy games in the next five weeks.

In addition to my earlier post on the PC games today, it looks like Brunswick PSX comes out four days after the PC version, ie Sept. 8. Then on Sept. 11 we have a daily double, with G. Darius and Devil Dice. Also, Dead Unity is listed as Sept. 23. I guess that's still a go. Combined with strong Quest sales (#12 in July) and the NWO re-release, it seems that these games will allow for a very strong quarterly report.

Then the first days of Q4 give us Penny Racers N64 and the two "missing" Gameboy games, Small Soldiers and Mulan, all on Oct. 2. Which makes it obvious that Q3 is going to have no problem making the numbers by a healthy margin, otherwise why not publish them a few days earlier?

Note also that if NWO Revenge comes out as scheduled (Oct. 20) for the N64, we'll have that press release very close to the Q3 earnings report. I do expect us to be vying for new highs by that point. Ie, $25-$27.

I also found it interesting that the only Gameboy games scheduled for October and November are THQ's. Is it the only publisher that has a firmed up schedule, or is there going to be a real lack of new software, right when the Color Gameboy is hitting the shelves?

Anyway, the point is that we don't have long to wait before we start seeing the fruits that the Gang of Four reported on from E3.
