On an unrelated issue, I purchased SIR.v on 16JUN98, the last day SIR.v traded before it merged into EAS.v. Good old E*TRADE took more than two months (i.e., until last week) to convert those shares into EAS.v, claiming they were waiting to receive the EAS.v shares before crediting them to my account. During this period the security was not tradable.

This is pure speculation on my part, but if this delay was widespread, could it have dampened investor enthusiasm? Perhaps once the final logistics of the merger are completed, interest will pick up in EAS.v.

I hope.
