Jay8088 Uniphase's greatest assets do not appear on the balance sheet. The advantage UNPH has over it's competition is in the number of Phd's with relevant expertise in every emerging optical technology. People file patents...keep an eye on the "cerebral capital". Remember when Seymour Cray left Cray Research....the balance sheet was not changed but the company was permanently impaired. Just my opinion. regards Stewart V. Nelson
