Some bad news seems to be brewing about Brazil any think this may impact Dell due to their recent anouncement about Brazil?? One of the reasons to build in same region where the product is sold is that if the country devaluates the cost of production goes down proportional to the effective loss of buying power. Under the direct model Dell is likely to see a reduction in supply cost immediately. Rate of return would remain the same although I suppose the revenue in dollar translated amounts may be reduced.
