I just called my broker (Toronto Dominion Bank's Greenline Brokerage). He said he had no information on CVIA specifically, but that I should find out "when the stock goes X". Usually, he says, the X-date is three days before the record date, but sometimes it's different, and the shares must be bought before the X-date to be eligible.

Buying today regardless... and hoping for the best.
