JMAC,

Why not do both (options and buy/hold the stock)? I have taken a core position in the stock and trade additional shares as well. I also am under water. My method has been to just refuse to take losses...although Jack Rains and others have been teaching me how to recognize when to sell. Nevertheless, I've screwed up at least 5 times this year (bought too soon) but just held on and waited for recovery. I can afford to become a buy and holder if need be, but I do worry about an OVERALL market correction/bear market. On the other hand, INTEL seems to be the single one stock best poised to climb or resist decline.

One thing that I don't get is this gap business. I have heard of gaps being filled, but never thought that a gap 40 points ago was a worry.
