Not my area of expertise, so the questions:

Let's assume for a moment they did default, who will loan them money, at what rates, when, and in what quantity?

Can we assume recovery would have come quicker, and would have been as full and robust as...? (well I guess we are comparing a mirage with a dream).

So the first question, are there any examples to compare...

a) Let them default.

to b) Try some sort of rescue.

which shows the furture prospects for those who default?
