LF, I don't know which EPS report you reseached but I checked Circuit City's report and it was dismal to say the least. 1. CC said, compariable-store sales for Q3 DECREASED 10% . 2.CC indicated a SUSTANTIAL slackening in computer sales. 3. CC said, 3Q sales of personal computers "weaken dramatically" while sales of most eletronic products remained soft.4. CC 3Q eps landed in the zone signaled by the company and provided further CONFIRMATION of sluggish personal computer sales for the elec retailor. 5. "The computer business is lousy," said Terrance McEvoy, an analyst at Janney Mont. Scott Leo Steve Clinton Mike Inc.-g- "That(PC) business was very soft and very competitive." -No kidding Einstein where have you been for 6 months. The only growth was in major appliances, digital satelites and your favorite BIG SCREEN TVS. I have been to CC over the last few months and if they were selling a lot of PCs it would be major news to me.That goes for the rest of the retailors also. I would suggest you go over the report again I think you might have missed a few tidbits. All the retailors have been ecohing the same thing for months but no one would listen as long as their stocks continued to go up......MP
