Come on! HDTV is only MP@ML times 6x. The 3-D texture bandwidth
on the ATI chip probably already exceeds HDTVs decoder resource
requirements. If ATI designed the MPEG decoder pipeline right (with the help of their friends at Quandrant -- not Cube), should be no problem. Oh and HDTV display rates have been in $10 graphics controller for years! It ain't black magic! Anybody can design an MPEG decoder chip these days. Find a new gimmick! Get on with your lives!

And yes, trust me, they have definite HDTV plans.
