Michelle, I think you are distorting the context of what was posted by a man on the other thread. What he said doesn't fit your point. Most men don't base their decision to stay with a woman based primarily on affordability and nobody said that on the other thread that I can see.

Same for me. I find the best way to avoid the issue is not to put one's self in harm's way. That is not always possible. The question then becomes what do you value more and do you place a value on something more than your own personal gratification (and whether you can afford the divorce). Clinton's case seems somewhat unique in that his wife seems to act as facilitator for his bad judgment. It is not always easy to honor those vows but it is possible with just a little effort and some sense of personal responsibility to those we made the vows to in the first place. JLA
