Rick, regarding the abandonment for better policing:

In order to understand SI's philosophy here, let's try and put ourselves in their shoes. If SI admin is more oppressive to posters on DD threads, then we know there is a stern reason for this. I am assuming that reason is because SI admin believes that those boards are for serious discussion, whereas coffeehouse boards are more geared towards recreation. If SI wishes to remain unbiased, it follows then that anyone who posts off topic excessively should be dealt with.

So then, the reason for suspending certain nays would be because they are continually interrupting the individuals who are serious about discussing their stock. For this reason, I think that a new thread in a more policed domain should be left to discussion that is purely on topic.

Also, my impression of the info thread is the same as yours, but countless posts of articles and other thoughts shared daily never make it over there. Any newcomer is thus, left to decide if its worth reading all the posts over here in search of the day to day, semi-important DD.

Anyways, thanks for the thoughts... Keep them coming folks, we need a consensus.
