Very good andrew...

We'll stick with the facts..
Wave Systems Multi-channel Content Distribution will be selling digital information and entertainment. Wave Systems will not be the only ones doing this. However, as of now (and this is a challenge, not hyperbole) no company has a system equally robust with features, well thought out, and set up for success to facilitate this newly forming kind of commerce. Perhaps, we'll wait upon IBM to give "the market" some confidence in WAVX's probable success as a "Software SuperStore" and more. A good word from OEM's will help Wave Systems market itself as the first real "Wal-Mart" in the digital marketplace. Still, we need a hell of a lot more CONTENT to make people easily interested in wanting to use our system. People must have some motivation to want to set up an account WITH US as they would any other account of a convenience to get to that content. If IBM puts the WaveMeter and THE WAVE LOGO on it's new PC's, that will be a start. But the real test will be whether people use it or not. That will be dependent upon the CONTENT and CONVENIENCE provided.
A Word or two from our sponsors - like IMB - will be a little help. But, Wave Systems must still become a hell of a lot more SEXY if the revenue we need to drive the company's stock over YAHOO's head is to happen.

We need to sign on board all of Disney's content. We need to be loading snippets of the Best Of "Debbie Does Dallas." (all encrypted and in the privacy of your own home, of course) We need deals with Sierra and other game developers. There are huge archives of books out of print. We could supply the largest compilation of stock photography in the world. We could offer access to the Oxford English Lexicon without having to purchase the whole hefty thing. We could offer quotations for every occasion. We could offer it in Latin. We could do so many things.....

Sincerely,
Marty
