**Important** Uh-oh. Any Wall Street experts out there able to tell us what this means?

Tonight I received a telephone call from someone claiming to be with "McKenzie Group" or something like that. Said they were a market survey org. hired by Xoma to contact shareholders & inquire (1) how long I'd been a shareholder; and (2) at what price(s) I bought.

I've never heard of anything like this and it doesn't give me a good feeling. More like the feeling a patient might get when the town mortician happens by the hospital room and starts taking measurements for a coffin. I hate myself for thinking this way, but can Xoma be taking the measure of potential shareholder liability suits? Classes of shareholders in bankruptcy?

I asked the voice on the phone if she'd been getting an earful from other investors. "Oh, yes," she said in the same tone that mortician might use to explain there's been a sudden run on pine boxes.

Please! Someone! Anyone! Think of a benign explanation for this event. Like maybe, the caller lied and it's really some con artist hoping to sink his hooks in a demonstrable sucker who's about to get wealthy. Or, a law firm with not enough work trying to judge the size of a potential class action. Or, even a wrong number. Anything!
