Kurlak---"Intel needs to get into new markets" Gates---Don't you build a JAVA MPU Groves caves in and the rest is history. Intel the monopoly wanna be. Intel the company without moral fibre. Grove cringing before herr Gates in his own private Intel conference room. Intel caving in to Microsoft. Intel paying the price. Ah and there's the rub. Its hard to feel sorry for such a pathetic company. They couldn't even stand up to Gates when they absolutely dominated the microprocessor industry. Some would say it was cowardice but judging from that stellar engineer Paul Engel and his posts here, I would say it was a failure of imagination. They really thought Wintel was good for Intel when in fact it was good for MSFT. ============ Leading economic indicator---AMAT layoffs. What a bunch of winners.
