Tenchustsu, I'll call you Ten for short it that's OK.

K6-2 die size is 79mm2. This translates into roughly 307 possible good die per 8" wafer. Let's say 300.
Best estimate of the cost of a 8" wafer is 2,000-2,500. Let's say 2,250 for arguments sake. 2250/300=7.5 cost of silicon. Now what yield would you like me to use? 50%? 60%,70%...OK...without telling to you what AMDs yields really are, let's use the low end, 50%. That's 150 good die. 2250/150=$15...
Now let's add something in for packaging, final testing, stamping the name on etc.. $20. How do I get that...oh I think that's been stated by AMD somewhere.
20 + 15 = $35 probably less...

The celeron A? do the numbers but ony use about 155 possible good die
at 154mm2. Yields better. Lets say...70%...108 good die/wafer. 2250/108
=21 for the silicon. add 20 for packaging? OK...but the Celeron A has
a cartridge...add another $10. 21 + 20 + 10 = $51....maybe less...
