Ron, why would you sell short puts in this market?

That's a fundamental problem with your approach. You're using the wrong strategy for this market. Take a lesson from Herman Matos. Sell your naked call and use the proceeds to BUY a long put on the same stk. You DOUBLE your return on the same play instead of wiping out your gains by going against the trend!
