Right now I can't see someone in Russia who could deliver the reform needed. They all have some political motivations so they need to give the country direction to someone who is not elected and who will not have some ulterior political motivations. He will be free to get some results not tied by one party or another.

In Japan they still have some problems to delivers the right reforms, I think they still have problem to get out of old paterns who drive them to that mess. If Japan with their assets has problems to go throw the storm imagine what Russia is dealing with.
