Mike,

You and I have always accepted our differences in opinion and have been able to joke around unlike most of the other long/short relationships.

I used to read the thread before I bought into Vivus after the December 9th drop.

Seeing that the short interest has always been fairly high, I can imagine that Vivus caused then a lot of stress during its 2 runs to 40.

Honestly, when Vivus was over 30 I told myself that it was overvaluated. After doing a lot of DD on the product I thought that accumulating in the 10 to 15 range was a fair price to pay.

Admittedly, my BIG mistake was not scrutinizing the management of this company and for this I and others pay dearly.

I don't like seeing the way the management of Vivus has treated its investors. If I could have it my way, I would wish that everyone who supported this company could get out at "break even" and that in the end it does go to ZERO because ZERO is what all the bozos managing Vivus deserve.

I am glad you have made money shorting Vivus and I hope it was in the 6 figure range.

I don't blame the shorts. In fact I commend them at doing an absolutely excellent job at making sure that the public always is exposed to the negative spin and I can only laugh at the total incompetence of Vivus' IR in defending the shareholder's interests.

NF probably gets 40k for ?

Wilson gets 300k for ?

I would have been willing to run their IR for free and I bet this stock would today be at 10. And that is because I would have shown the investors that I really care about them as investors and at least there would have been some confidence and much less anger towards the company.

PS Let me know when you decide to cover.
