"It should be kept in mind that if a room and pillar mining approach was taken, the mining reserve would be considerably less than the geological reserve, and that mining under probably a 2 m thickness would dilute grade"
Lets just assume for a moment that the dyke is actually a flat lying seam of ore lying a couple hundred feet underground. As you mine the ore out you create a cavern or room. If the room gets too big the ceiling will fall in. So you leave some pillars in to support the roof. That is the room and pillar method of mining and of course those pillars are ore that you are leaving behind.
The dyke WSP has is on a slope or dip but you still have too mine the ore and still support the roof somehow.
Some mines take out the ore creating rooms then after taking out the minerals they want they mix the waste with cement and backfill the rooms. This allows you to recover the pillars
After they get the true dimensions and position of the dyke then the mining engineers will try to come up with the best way of mining it. Alot will depend on the rocks involved and the dyke.

As for pipe or source, anything (almost) is possible and geology does like surprizes, so only time and drilling will tell. There could be other dykes, blow outs etc et al.

Sorry i dont have time to read or go through the hole report I'm heading out of town tommorrow for awhile but will try to get to it when I get back.
