Nothing exceeds like excess! IBM, to me, is the best company in the world! It has more going for it in so many categories that it is hard to name them all but consider these. It has more patents awarded to it year in and year out than any company in the world. It has the biggest companies, and biggest other entities of all kinds, in the world as long term clients already. It is the "GO TO" company for all of them for a tremendous range products and services.

They are positioned better than any other company in the world to exploit the next biggest thing, e-commerce (guess who made up that word?). And they are going after it every day with both barrels and capturing even more marketshare. They have the best institutional memory and expertise in the world. They have incredibly bright people working for them and absolutely great management. They have increasing revenue and profits quarter in and quarter out.

If they ever get a p/e that reflect all these, the stock will skyrocket. I used to buy every time the price was under $100 but now the only time it is such a fantastic buy is when it is under $120. Anything in this range though is a bargain.
