Could be but until that buy recommendation comes out, we won't know. I think brokers go through their own due diligence, although some of the research I have seen on companies could have been written by a monkey. IMHO the company is attractive more for the long-term than short. I do expect a few pops (small ones) over the next several weeks. Leukoscan should be going to FDA; that's good for a quarter point (usually goes right down); and Europe should be approving soon (good for another quarter point and oops, back it goes). More than bumping the stock up, these steps might be viewed as milestones that increase the attractiveness of the company to companies like Mallinckrodt. The name of the game in drugs sales today is to provide as wide a portfolio of products as possible in as many areas as possible so volume contracts can be cut with groud purchasing organizations such as Premier and VHA. I especially like Mallinckrodt in this area because they already have a relationship with Immunomedics and the company usually expands relationships rather than cuts them, certainly at this stage. Hang in there until we see something real attractive. To paraphrase Nissan, the market is a journey, enjoy the ride. Also, please keep in mind that I am an amateur -- not a professional stock picker. No one confides in me, nor do I have a crystal ball (I hate threads with cheerleaders and I don't want to be one).
